In the next couple of weeks I will be moving into my very own very first studio :) I am so excited. It will be downtown in the middle of all the hub bub, in a building that has be reconstituted for the purpose to showcase artist I will be the 44th artist to join this wonderful opportunity. It has taken me almost 37 yrs to realize and appreciate the artist in me. I have always had self esteem issues when it came to showing others my work. I was always afraid of the critiques, afraid others would say it was immature, awful, no talent,etc. I have found in the last few months with the support and appreciation of everyone on Deviant Art that I AM AN ARTIST, art is in the eye of the beholder, art doesn't have to be rigid and perfect. I don't have to be perfect. I have found that I love experimenting with different mediums and different techniques to accomplish the pieces I have made. My family and I had a wonderful walk today at a local nature trail, it was nice to get back to nature, the peace, and quiet. The lighting was absolutely perfect for snapping a few dozen shots. I have never been able to get a decent photo of a dragonfly before today, it seemed like all the dragonflies wanted to have their photo taken. It was amazing!! I can't wait to go back! Namaste :)
